This is only tangentially related to I/P but on the subject of apartheid governments, how come it seems like western Nazis only ever jack themselves off over Rhodesia and not South Africa? Is it because Rhodesia is less historically relevant and therefore easier to fly under the radar about?

Rhodesia put out a lot of propaganda about how badass they are and about how great a time you'd have as a badass white soldier, South Africa's propaganda was more along the lines of "please stop bullying us, we're actually a very pleasant racial society its just that there's black hoodlums causing mischief"   Shouldn't be too hard to guess which one is more appealing to the modern couch fascist. Also, it helps that South Africa is still around, and modern White South Africans are generally ambivalent or supportive of the end of Apartheid. When afaik it was caused by the banks refusing to lend due to them interfering with the sanctity of private property. Which meant they lacked the money to buy the inputs and rent machinery needed to farm.
