One of my son's friends lives with his SO in a 3-story rowhome in Fishtown (Philadelphia). This is not a large home, and it has no yard. He adopted a Bernese Mountain dog. Currently a puppy. He says he's ready, but even half-grown, it may weigh more than his SO, so her walks with her should be exciting.

There is a couple near me that have a Newfoundland which comes in at nearly 80kg. It's bigger than both of them. They trained it to be insanely calm and gentle from a very young age so now it just plods along with them saying hello like the dog equivalent of a bubble wrap coated Andre the Giant. The amount of drool that comes out of the mouth of that thing is going to cause some localised flooding one day soon though.

We used to live near a old bloke with a 75kg great Dane called Odin. He was super chill and he would lean against people he liked. My wife had to brace herself against the lean of love to stay upright.

I know that lean well. It's not even mischief, though Danes are capable of that kind of thing. our mischievous Dane would come for pets at the end of dinner time when we were entertaining and verrry slowly position their muzzle over the dinner plate of an unsuspecting diner and surreptitiously dip their tongue into whatever was leftover this same Dane stole resting steaks off the top of the refrigerator so we had to adapt radically to the mischief (steaks were rested in a cold microwave)

He quickly became attached to Ben and became his constant companion and pet for two years, and would hitch a ride with Ben on his adventures running his animal rescue shelter as well as go on trips with him. He was a major player in a lot of the URR videos and would often happily YAHOO! on camera, and loved everybody. He was diagnosed with cancer and despite two vets saying he had to be put down, had the tumor removed and lived another year or so before passing away.
