Instead, a Supreme Soviet is responsible for resource allocation of the Communist Processing Unit (cpu) and the Revoluntionary Access Memory (ram)

As long as that's true, Apple will fight any attempt to get rid of the green texts. Yeah kids bullying is one big part. The online dating world has its own version of that, a small cadre of loud assholes who don't date green text people (on the assumption Android users are poor). The number of folks actually screening this way is probably negligible, but you don't have to actually run into one yourself to have the idea you might be getting filtered by your choice of phone enter your head.

I would buy that big block phone and also would like to force anyone who has ever unironically complained about bezels to buy one too.

Sounds like a good reason to have an android then since brand-obsessed people will self-select out of interacting with me.

"Dating" means both "looking for another person to have a meaningful relationship and share a significant portion of your life with" and also "trying to gently caress". Both are fine on their own but communications wise it's not good.

It's based on "a heuristic combination of GDP, population, and real estate footprint." It's the kind of thing where yeah, you can make a cool-looking chart, but it's going to be so inaccurate that trying to draw any conclusions from that chart is madness.

i've got a heuristic combination of a stanky unwashed rear end and their tongue for the authors to consider and really savor because that's where the chart came from

https://twitter.com/GreatCheshire/status/1731530875819397165?s=20 This reminded me of a hot take I used to see in like '05-'06: Gays against Gay Marriage. A small number of online gay dudes strongly against legalizing gay marriage, because it was straight assimilation/colonization. I always assumed it was dudes who knew that if marriage was legal their main partner would be pushing them for it and had been relying on it just staying illegal forever, lol. I think a lot of the fans of these people just don’t understand what plagiarism is, and especially how much work is involved in creating an original piece of research. The creators themselves absolutely know what they’re doing, though.

Yeah, a lot of people think plagiarism (an academic and ethical concept) is the same as copyright (a legal concept) They’re not, but I think a ton of people make that conflation
