Putin is a real piece of poo poo.
I fully endorse this statement.
Also, the Finnish border to Russia is now locked down with all border crossings closed. Here is an article on how Russia responded to this development.

This is how Russia reacted to the closing of the eastern border: the Kremlin pulled out "the West" card and claimed that Finland is now being exploited
Yle investigated what is being reported in the Russian media about Finland's decision to temporarily close the eastern border.
Finland's decision to close the entire eastern border provoked strong reactions in Russia. For example, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov accused Finland of exaggeration, and the Russian Foreign Ministry suspected that Finland was bowing to pressure from the European Union and the United States
Closing of the eastern border
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (Kok.) said yesterday, Tuesday, that Finland will close the entire eastern border for two weeks from the night between Wednesday the 29th of November and Thursday the 30th.
The last open border crossing on the eastern border, Raja-Jooseppi, was closed in the afternoon at 2 p.m. The government's decision to close the border takes effect at midnight.
Asylum can only be applied for at ports and airports when the border crossings on the eastern border are closed, the government said.
Prime Minister Petteri Orpo at the government's press conference on cross-border traffic restrictions in Helsinki on November 28, 2023.
The director of Russia's Kantalahti region (ed. note: Kandalaksa in Murmansk), Aleksandr Samarin, commented on Wednesday morning, according to the Russian business newspaper RBK, that migrants have given up their attempts to cross the Finnish border after Finland announced the closure of all border checkpoints on the eastern border.
Many left the Murmansk region on Wednesday morning.
- Some left in taxis. Many were left waiting for the transport to St. Petersburg organized by the Russian authorities. There were no outbursts of anger, but people seemed very disappointed, Kantalahti director Samarin commented.
According to Samarin, there were about 400 people at the Alakurti checkpoint near the Salla border on Tuesday evening.
"Finland's decision is strange"
The closing of the border has been widely reported in Russia after Finland's announcement.
For example, the popular Russian newspaper Kommersant and the news agency Ria reported with reference to Yle that the reason for closing the border is Finland's concern for national security.
In the news broadcasts of Russian state TV channels, it was claimed on Tuesday that Finland is afraid of a "migrant flood" and therefore closes its borders.
- The Russian Foreign Ministry tried to get Finland to its senses by stating that it is not a "flood" if 700 migrants cross the border. Finland closes its borders, even though at the same time more than 370,000 people cross the borders of the EU, the news broadcast from Channel 1 said, referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Channel 1's broadcast did not elaborate on what kind of border crossers the 370,000 referred to, or where and when so many asylum seekers would have crossed the EU's borders. The European border security agency Frontex had recorded around 300,000 unauthorized crossings by the end of October this year.
Some Russian state media did not report that Finland's decision is due to Russia's hybrid operation and that, according to the Finnish government, the entire operation has been (state) organized.
For example, MK-lehti describes Finland's decision to close the border because of asylum seekers as "strange" in its headline.
The online media service News.ru mentions the hybrid operation, but says that Finland has not presented evidence of the involvement of the Russian border guard in the operation.
Fontanka from St. Petersburg, who also investigated the movements of border crossers, claims that there is no evidence of Russian border authorities' involvement in the migrants' arrival at the border.
According to Fontanka, the background is organized crime. Detailed instructions on how to get to Finland via Russia are distributed on social media, Fontanka writes.
According to the news media, many Syrians, Yemenis and Iraqis have received a 30-day visa for Russia, but when they try to go to Finland, their visas have expired.
According to an Arabic-speaking lawyer interviewed by Fontanka, Russian authorities are meticulous about documents and have even detained women and children for overstaying their visas.
Russia accuses Finland of setting up a "iron curtain"
Russian administration spokesman Dmitri Peskov considered Finland's decision to close border checkpoints on the eastern border to be regrettable and described the decision as anti-Russian.
According to Peskov, the Russian border guard has followed the instructions, and it has not let people into the border zone who did not have the right documents.
According to Interfax, Peskov warned that Finland's decision would incite tensions on the eastern border. According to the Kremlin spokesman, this is also what Poland's alleged decision to send border officials to help Finland does.
- Finland exaggerates its measures to secure border security. Nothing threatens Finland, Peskov said.
Finland denied the claims of Poland's expert assistance with the situation on the eastern border.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Grushko commented that Finland is acting against its own interests.
Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, claimed that Finland is lowering the iron curtain in the east. According to Volodin, it is primarily the Finns themselves who suffer from it.
- According to some estimates, the decision [to close the border] will cost Finns up to three billion euros, Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel, according to Delovoi Peterburg magazine.
Volodin did not specify which estimates he was referring to.
Maria Zaharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, claimed that behind the decision to close the border is a small group of influential people in the Finnish government.
According to Zaharova, the asylum seekers have nothing to do with closing the border, but the West ruthlessly exploits Finland to build a wall between the West and Russia. In the West, Zaharova meant the EU and the United States.
The Russian Russia Today also claimed, referring to expert opinions, that Finland had closed its borders on the orders of the EU and the United States.
People discuss alternative routes
Even Russian war bloggers seized on the news of the border closure. Pro-Kremlin war blogger Semjon Pegov wrote on his Telegram channel that Finland is a remote village in Europe where tourists don't visit anyway.
According to Pegov, Finland's decision does not affect the Russians, because among the Russians, mostly only people from St. Petersburg made trips to Finland.
- Issuing tourist visas to Russians was already stopped in September of last year.
- Closing the borders does not affect Russians, but Finno-Russians who have relatives in Russia, Pegov writes.
The announcement of the closure of the last border crossing on Finland's eastern border sparked discussion on social media as well.
For example, Facebook now shares tips on how to get to Russia from Finland. In the answers, it has been suggested to go through the Narva border crossing in Estonia or to fly to Turkey.

yeah, I didn't used to believe in the horseshoe, but once we get to 'human beings are too dumb for democracy, we need to force them into communism for their own good - and that means supporting Russian imperialism (but don't worry its technically not imperialist because 'communism can't be imperalist' jfc)', well, we're fully in the authoritarian left which is mostly white people talking about how we should have revolution while not thinking about the fact that the majority of bodies fighting that revolution for them will be brown and black. you're signing up your countries poor population for death and war, and it will hit them harder than you. maybe don't use the poor as your canon fodder for coveted violent revolution. go die for your cause yourself, if its so important.
there's a reason fred hampton rolled his eyes at the white revolutionary left, and its bc they were all to happy to push violence while not having lived it, and to not consider who that violence will affect. if you really are so misanthropic that you think people are 'too dumb to know what they want', don't expect them to get in front of a gun for you then. either you respect their desires and needs and fight with them, or you leave them alone, but you don't get to look down on people while also trying turn the poor into your revolutionary fighting force. then you're just the us govt lol.
there's a point where the left gets to 'and a charismatic leader needs to control it' that loving creeps me out. the idea is supposed to be that we're for the people, you can't be for the people while also thinking they're just sheeple who need to be guided. if your idea of how to organize society is we need a Cultural Daddy who does what's best for us, but let's make sure the Daddy is leftist, then no, go away you loving creep. Go find a dom and work that out in the bedroom.
I'll have you know that I have almost 300 followers on twitter and consistently get at least 9 likes per post. Surely that makes me a member of the vanguard and thus a shoe in for the politburo to come.

Russian Justice Ministry bans ‘LGBT movement’ as ‘extremist organization’
The Russian Supreme Court has granted the Justice Ministry’s request to ban the “international LGBT movement” as an “extremist organization.”
The hearing was held behind closed doors on November 30. Journalists were not allowed into the courtroom until the judge’s announcement of the ruling. It took Supreme Court Judge Oleg Nefedov four hours to come to a decision.
The Russian Justice Ministry filed its request for the Supreme Court to ban the “international LGBT movement” on November 17. No such organization existed in Russia at the time the lawsuit was filed, and the ministry did not specify what entity it was referring to.
Human rights activists have warned that the ban is likely to lead to an increase in harassment and persecution against LGBTQ+ people.

LOL holy poo poo, how the gently caress is a Russian politician giving Kissinger a farewell praise. Just sums up the utter clusterfuck of the Russian government. Why am I even surprised tbh
You know how Putin thinks of Ukraine as just a pawn in a grand chess game between the USA and Russia? Guess who shares that worldview?
MARCEL H. VAN HERPEN posted:
Let us first take a closer look at their personal relationship. In “First Person,” a book with interviews published immediately after Putin’s appointment to Acting President on December 31, 1999, Putin told about the strange kind of mutual understanding he developed with Kissinger in the beginning of the 1990s, when Kissinger came to Saint Petersburg to participate in the Kissinger-Sobchak Commission, set up to attract foreign investment. “Once I met him at the airport,” told Putin, “we got into the car and went to the residence. On the way, he asked me where I was from and what I was doing. He was an inquisitive old fellow.” Kissinger soon found out that Putin had worked for the KGB. Kissinger then said, reassuringly: “All decent people got their start in intelligence. I did, too.”
Putin continued:
“Then he said something that was completely unexpected and very interesting. “You know, I am very much criticized for the position I took regarding the USSR back then. I believed that the Soviet Union should not abandon Eastern Europe so quickly. We were changing the balance in the world very rapidly, and I thought it could lead to undesirable consequences. And now I’m being blamed for that position. People say, “See, the Soviets left, and everything’s normal. You thought it was impossible.” But I really did think it was impossible.” Then he thought a while and added, “Frankly to this day I don’t understand why Gorbachev did that.” I had never imagined I might hear something like that from the lips of Henry Kissinger. I told him what I thought, and I will repeat it to you right now: Kissinger was right. We would have avoided a lot of problems if the Soviets had not made such a hasty exit from Eastern Europe.”
In that car in Saint Petersburg we could witness the meeting of two minds: on the one hand the former secretary of state of Richard Nixon, who, as an admirer of Count Metternich, seemed to prefer the stability of a repressive and totalitarian empire to a rapid decolonization and democratic change, and, on the other hand, the former KGB agent, who regretted the loss of empire and would make it his life’s vocation to repair “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the twentieth century.” The mutual admiration between Putin and Kissinger was still intact twenty years later, when, in February 2012, Putin, in an article in the Moskovskie Novosti wrote: “Not long ago I spoke with H. Kissinger. We meet him regularly. And I share completely this great professional’s thesis that in periods of international turbulence, a close and trusting collaboration between Moscow and Washington is required.”
Kissinger wanted the USSR to come back so the stupid game he loved could continue.

There's that American nob. Surname begins with M that I'm blanking on. The one that would probably get killed if he steps foot in Eastern Europe. He's still doing the rounds of talking from a cold war point of view.

enough about Secretary of War Crimes Henry Kissinger, ukraine blew up a railway connecting russia and china
https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/11/30/7431023/
quote:
Ukraine's Security Service blows up railway connecting Russia and China
On the night of 29-30 November, an explosion occurred on the Baikal-Amur Mainline in the Severomuysky Tunnel, named after Vladimir Bessolov, located in Buryatia (Russia).
Source: Ukrainska Pravda’s source in the security forces
Details: The source notes that this is actually the only major railway connection between Russia and China. And currently this route, which Russia uses, specifically for military supplies, is paralysed.
The UP source said the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) is behind this detonation.
Officially, the special service does not comment on these events.
Quote: "Four explosive devices went off during the movement of the freight train. Now the FSB is working on the spot, and railway workers are unsuccessfully trying to minimise the consequences of the SSU’s special operation."

Also, I don't remember seeing it posted, but occupied Crimea's TV stations were all hacked and every channel showed a speech from Zelenskyy and Zaluzhni. The channel names themselves were all changed to say "Putin Khuilo" (Putin is a dick)
https://nypost.com/2023/11/30/news/tv-hacked-to-air-zelenskys-speech-vowing-to-liberate-crimea/
quote:
Pro-Ukrainian saboteurs hacked into Russian television channels in Crimea overnight to air President Volodymyr Zelensky’s speech vowing to liberate the occupied peninsula.
In a further humiliation to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s regime, the pranksters renamed all 20 channels in Crimea’s IPTV network “Putin is a d—head,” as seen in videos shared online.
In his brief address to the people of Crimea, who have lived under Moscow’s control since the region was illegally annexed in 2014, Zelensky promised that the occupiers’ presence there “will not last forever.”
“Ukraine will return its territory, our people,” he said. “We will not leave anyone to the occupiers.”
The hackers also aired a pre-recorded message from Gen. Valerii Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, followed by a word from Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of Ukraine’s military intelligence.
“Crimea will be returned,” Budanov proclaimed. “Crimea is ours. There should be no Russia. It’s ours and no one else’s.”
The embarrassing hack attack was confirmed by Oleg Kryuchkov, an official in the Kremlin-backed administration of Crimea.
“Several Crimean Internet providers have been hacked by the enemy,” Kryuchkov wrote on his Telegram channel. “Technical services are working on this. All problems will be resolved in the near future.”
Kryuchkov blamed the breach on the Ukrainian Centre for Information and Psychological Special Operations.
Separately, Ukrainian hackers working with cyber-specialists at Ukraine’s Security Service also tempered with the website of Russia’s Ministry of Labor and Social Security and allegedly obtained a trove of classified information. reported RBC-Ukraine.
This is not the first time that Ukrainian hackers got the upper hand in the information war being waged in Crimea.
Back in June, broadcasts of two Russian cable channels were interrupted with a video from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense showing soldiers staring into the camera while holding a finger to their lips
The eerie footage was accompanied by a message in Ukrainian that read: “Plans like silence. There will be no announcement that ‘it’s starting.’”
In February, two Crimean radio stations were breached to broadcast Ukraine’s national anthem, followed by a message from Budanov, who vowed that Kyiv’s forcer will free all the occupied territories and destroy “every traitor to Ukraine.”
