And the SEC has gotten two teams in the playoff despite multiple better possible outcomes a statistically bothersome number of times. Which is "more than once". Texas probably needs both FSU and Michigan to lose to break into the top 4. Only twice! 2017, when Bama edged 2-loss Ohio State for the last spot, and 2021, when there were zero teams that were worthy of jumping UGA after the SECCG unless you wanted 2-loss Baylor or something. Both "controversial" teams ended up winning the natty. The correct call, both times. Breathe. Relax.
