Well I really enjoyed that, true cosmic unfathomable horror.

While I hated the Timeless Child as a concept, I'm glad that some kind of acknowledgement of half the universe being wiped out by the Flux actually got mentioned! Also had to laugh at the Doctor saying,"Well... that got complicated" when asked about Gallifrey.

It really loving annoyed me that 13 wasn't more cut up about this fact. Bombastic Doctor Who is all well and good, but 13 barely acknowledged that half of all life got wiped out in a cheap Thanos pastiche

We've already seen a dead horse
All that Disney money and they still can’t make running on a CGI set look real. 😂

Anyway it was nice to see old Wilf and I liked the body horror stuff. A strange episode.

I liked last week’s episode because it felt like a nice breath of fresh air after the Chibnall era, but this was just a straight up really good episode.

She, laughing in mockery, changed herself into a wren and flew away.
That was just "this is what a good weekly episode of Doctor Who is" as a thesis statement. Nailed it IMO. They should get the guy who made this in to run the show!

Although now hearing the credits theme for a second time and not having to digest so much, who the gently caress thought that having that "clackity clack" over the top and nearly drowning out the main music was a good idea?

I'm old as gently caress. I get annoyed by Murray Gold as much as the next person, but general Audi mix problems aside, he's never hosed up the credits music this bad before.

Have fun!
I got major classic-era vibes from this episode - minimal actors, utilizing the same set design with different lighting, and you could easily break it into two/three episodes.

An absolutely cracker.

Also, the long hallway reminded me of the connecting hallway in Event Horizon.
