The catch ruling in Pittsburgh just seems like the normal catch rule. If you’re going to the ground during the catch, control has to survive contact with the ground. The dude on the broadcast started talking about steps and new interpretations, and I started thinking, okay, did they change it without officially changing it again? But that’s not how the rule has actually worked for like the last twenty years, and the review was applying it correctly.
