I'm kinda depressed right now (as usual for this time of year) and since there was no new posts I figured I might as well do some posting myself instead. Look at this tiny goat.  Look at this tiny goat!  Such a tiny goat!  Another tiny goat!  Tiny skunks! I actually saw the tiniest little skunk in real life. I was a bit worried that it was alone but then also realized that it might not be alone and I should not piss its mom off.   Tiny possums!

She doesn't always sleep right next to me but often she's nearby. Her form of affection tends to be more on the licking and mouthing of my feet. Funny thing is she's the opposite of my old cat in their reaction to being held: Norton will complain endlessly but not struggle while Vera is vocal normally but shuts up when held and will struggle when she's had enough. Both extremely good natured and affectionate.

Cats and sleep are a very #blursed combination. I used to have a cat that would sleep on me a lot of the time, and it was a very mixed feeling. On the one hand, there's nothing better than having a purring cat snuggle up on you. On the other, I toss and turn a lot while getting to sleep, and a cat lying on top of you gets old fast when all you want to do is roll on your side for a while. The best case was when she'd move to sleeping beside me so I could shift around without disturbing her too much.

It's impossible to get a photo with all of them in it, especially one where none of them either look like a cryptid, or are doing some kind of wild hosed up bird shape. thus is the nature of photographing the noble magpie

When Sissel was still a kitten, she had to fall asleep while laying on top of me, staring me in the eye, and being petted. Stopping the pets before she was asleep lead to her standing up to make sure I was looking at her, meowing, then booping me on the mouth or eye. So we did this every night. Then, once asleep, she was out and I could move her over to the other pillow and get to sleep. She would not move for hours. Just so asleep. I'd often check to make sure she was still breathing if I woke up a few hours later.
