He had no idea that he was going to be edited together with the question asker in that way.

I think the funniest part about this is that he's replying to a post regarding a developer's comment about how you shouldn't take everything said in the past as gospel because the game has changed since that point. To quote the dev, quote:It is super easy to forget WHEN they were written as this disregards that the game has moved on since then. I often get quoted on things that were said years ago (old IFCS docs come to mind)... they are treated as the ultimate authority in discussions whereas they are just a momentary record of development at that specific time. ... In related news, The Day Before is showing how hard it is to follow exactly in the Crobbler's footsteps, tipping their hand far too early and ruining the illusion. I suspect there are countless disciples of CIG waiting in the wings with their scam games, but they can only hope to emulate a scam so perfect it could only have come about by accident.

of course they all have exit plans prepared, they've only had 10+ years to work on them Chris has a patreon all ready to go, and backers would probably be good for $10k/month in exchange for a few lovely hand drawn space ship jpegs , for the next few years at least to make sure he doesn't have to give up his porsche some of the other cronies would do patreon as well and the rest would do an onlyfans i guess, your guess is as good as mine on who that might be

I work at a 3D printing company and we got an inquiry about printing a bunch of ships from this game. They sent files in that were absolutely awful looking - basically like someone had taken the game assets, ripped them out of the game, and shrink-wrapped them to make them manifold solids that would be printable. The end result is that they looked partially melted. I warned the client that these files weren’t very good and that they weren’t likely to produce what he wanted in terms of quality if I printed them, and he proceeded to tell me all about how he spent a lot of money on having someone prepare these files for him, which was a lol because of course a Citizen gets fleeced. When I started giving him ballpark numbers for cost for printing based on the size of the models, assuming they weren’t half-melted-looking, he immediately panicked and started telling me about how money was super tight right now. He wanted to negotiate, like, a six month payment plan for these 3D prints. Obviously we told him no, because we’re not his credit card company, but the whole interaction felt deeply indicative of the type of guy still propping this shitshow up. Back in October we also produced a number of Star Citizen trophies for some kind of dogfighting event at CitizenCon and the design they brought us was really ugly. Some e-sports company was trying to get in on the ground floor of competitive play for this game and I just couldn’t imagine how completely not fun that must be. In summary, lol

They are hilariously expensive and look like crap.
