It's not the direct cash that keeps politicians in line; it's the threat of direct primary challenges, like the $10 million that AIPAC keeps waving in front of dems it's asking to challenge Tlaib. They can get money by sucking off different lobbyists, but they cannot defeat the might of AIPAC-sponsored candidates.
