Years ago I watched a show about a comet (?) turning a couple of select japanese people into super-robots. One guy was a super-rear end in a top hat and started killing people, the other one a good guy trying to stop him? Maybe an old guy that's also a robot/machine. Anyway the creator made a manga I liked that was also bizarro about some egg and a countdown and aliens/monsters killing people. Wonder if that's the same show with the pornstar that becomes a giant? Might be the same guy but a different show.

Inuyashiki is good, the characters act realistically when thrust into a crazy situation, is the teenager developed a god complex and the brow beaten old man just wants to be left alone and help people.

I remember reading somewhere that the episode of Inuyahsiki where 2channers doxx the teenager's parents and he uses his powers to hunt down and kill every troll was the writer's response to people on 2channel dunking on Gantz. Not sure if it's true but I like to believe it is.

I did find it odd that they went so hard on the THE WOKES WILL TRY TO CANCEL US BUT WE WON'T GIVE IN stuff only to fold literally immediately at the first hint of backlash since surely they should have expected that response, but I just figured that some higher-up caught wind of it and was like "wtf we don't want anything to do with this shitstorm." But this version of the story is way funnier.
