Always best to back up your stuff anyway but upgrading to 10 should be fairly painless

the best thing you can do when upgrading to windows 10 is not let the updater go on the internet, make your account offline otherwise youll be saddled with a bunch of onedrive poo poo

ive actually had a fairly good experience with windows 11 so far the biggest pain in the rear end is about every 4-6 months a big "finish setting up ur windows!" thing will pop up since i opted out of most poo poo and it disables my wireless keyboard and mouse so i have to plug a mouse in to get it to go away lol gently caress u microsoft

finished lies of p. 27 hours, best ending of three, 80% achievements, rest don't look too taxing so I might plat this'n.

already laid out my positive opinion of it, so not too much more to say. the seams start to show a bit more in the end - the script is less clean, for one. and the third-to-last boss was pleasantly and properly difficult, kicked my rear end for idk seven or eight attempts, but then the final two were easy enough that I one-shotted them both.

(e: also lmao the ending sets up a hilarious sequel hook. it cuts to this sniveling nerd who's been in your posse most of the game on a train, suddenly speaking with confidence to an unknown woman on the phone, a la ocelot's phone calls at the end of mgs1 and 3 with the president/CIA. he reports success of the "krat experiment" and then says his next project is to find.... DOROTHY. cut to a girl visible from the knees down wearing ruby slippers walking along the ruined city, before stopping, clicking her heels twice, then cut to black just before they click a third time. sure, I'd play that.)

but nevertheless, a very good game. certainly worth the pickup.

what next while waiting for shadow of the erdtree... maybe control. lies of p gave me a taste of korean idiosyncrasies and perhaps now it's finland's turn. perkele.....

Finished the completion list for Yakuza 5. God tier game, only a few more hoops to jump through for plat. I'm making a shopping list of all the cool regional snacks you can find at little pop-up shops in-game. I tried tantakatan because of Yakuza 3 and it's the perfect summertime alcohol.

it is weird, but more likely there's apple turbofans on a jury than google. no ones gunna cry if larry page or eric schmidt dies like they did for steve jobs. no one likes google anymore, they fuckin' suck

tim sweeney also funded sam lake and gave him full creative freedom, but on the other hand shackled alan wake 2 to a really lovely platform

in conclusion, tim sweeney is a land of contrasts

I cannot get over the complete mastery Alan Wake 2 has over its tone and vibes. Even its title screen instantly pulls you into its world, and the whole opening up to the title card is pitch perfect.

I do think the gameplay is better in 1 cause it's much more of the focus, plus it has Barry

But Wake 2 has great vibes as has been said

I did get some friends round who are huge AW1 fans and they didn't really like 2 and even bounced off the musical section

If youre into it for the AW1 continuation rather than the remedy extended universe I can see why it might not work for you

should we have spent our time instead making like... 5 or 10 that have interesting stuff on them?
