Rampage + Savage Sweep/Wrath would probably be overkill for hordes since it feels like it's already got plenty of cleave with light attack spam. I'd probably do Rampage + Shred so you can get back your ability in seconds during a horde.

I tried putting together a Rampage + Shred and the best I could do was Wrath + Shred. I put it together for a Fury of The Faithful + Martyrdom build, trying Martyrdom for the first time, and it did really, really well. It's nice to not have it get stuck on big hordes. I have a Shred + Momentum one I use for a Chorus + Blazing Piety build that works really well, but I wanted something a big more aggressive. Very impressed so far.

I suspect the new Eviscerator is going to get nerfed here at some point.

Sorry for the washed out color, got AutoHDR on and I'm too lazy to fix.

Got a clutch in at the end, that's always nice.

They preview it during the platform fight. The platform is free of gas because you're directly under big ventilation fans with lights.

Then when you get to the finale, the gas deploys at feet level and is safe, but it's about to rise up and wreck you. There's a safe area with ventilation fans and lighting on one side of the arena or the other. You'll have to hoof it over there quickly.

The fully charged heavy attack single shot everything that isn't an Ogryn or Mauler. Maulers and Reapers took two hits and crushers took three.

The light attack spam, when aimed at head level, killed every poxwalker on the screen.

I've seen posts on Fatshark's technical forums of people that have accidentally sold their weapon, and they seem to be ok with rolling it back. You could try your luck there and see if they'll help you :)

Huge PSA thread, for any goons interested in doing that Hard Mode boss fight on Damnation for the bonus stuff:

Play through and do the Hard Mode puzzle on Uprising (2s), beating the boss fight even on that difficulty unlocks the penance for doing the hard mode fight. This unlocks the teleport bells at the start of the level on all(!) difficulties, including 5s.

The left bell takes you to the normal fight, the right bell takes you to the hard mode fight without having to do the bells. Both will drop you in the room with all the supplies right before the elevator to the boss. It will not contain any crafting mats if you teleport there via bell. No cheese runs for easy plasteel, soz.

The teleport is ideal if you want to slam your face into the Damnation hard mode fight. Highly recommend doing it.

Ping spam. Follow the laser and kill the red outline. Critical against any target that’s hard to see, e.g. snipers, dogs and anything that’s obscured by flames.

Pinging everything is advisable in most situations. There’s a plug-in that adds number of pings to the scoreboard mod, and if your team collectively doesn’t have a number in the hundreds (on Damnation, at least) you’re doing it wrong.

I find stealth really really helpful for the fight. Obviously you don't want to overdo it because you can wind up getting your team pigpiled, but having an extra second to line up a shot against a critical special or to revive a downed mate is really nice.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE DEAD, MOTHERFUCKER?

Played around 5 tries into the damnation special mission and lost all of them. Very cool level though. Felt like the damage phase on both twins was pretty short though once their shields were down.

Despite having runs with zealots and ogryns on my team I almost always ended up having to use melee as my vet to tank the twins so I'm assuming its just bad luck draw on teammates

This. Pinging is priceless for plasma, especially since plasma can shoot through walls, so a glowing red outline makes it trivial.

Tanks still suck but you don't gotta hand it to the Axis either.
Missed the after-battle voxes abt special mission on my first character, just completed them on the second.

Mission: fun change from the ordinary, Especially as a limited-futile event. Considering the low plasteel payoff tge mission seens balanced.

Storyline advancement: 9/10, would get me invested If I wasnt 5 characters in.

Traitors curse overall so far pending swedish christmas holiday break coming up? 8/10, only bc everyone expected to see genestealer cult.

Darktide is Good game, I like paying $40 to FS for better remake of VT2.

Ruthless ”putting actual plot stuff into vox chat within mourningstar after the mission only once per character” really hits home for me, I like what fatshark did there.

Skullcrusher is the blessing you want since it makes killing... well crushers much quicker. Other than that anything that reliably adds impact should be pretty good I think.

Although now that I think about it double dipping on impact blessings should make dealing with rager packs trivial, so that's probably not bad either.

I over thought it and bought a purple one because all the stats were better except defence and it came with thunderstrike. Then I rolled it up to gold and got skull crusher!

Took it straight to pubbie damnation. Feels like it takes a while to kill anything but everything gets knocked down and bonked, so it definitely works.

It actually does some pretty good cleave damage! But yeah it also knocks everything on their asses which means you'll likely keep hitting fresh targets when there's a big horde. If you've got a breather it's best to do some floor sweeping to finish all those near-dead enemies off.

If you have shroudfield / thunderhammer boss one-shot zealot (or whatever the largest single hit is), how much damage can you do in one hit to one of the twins? Does it cap their health so they do the same number of vent phases?

I do circles or figure eights.

The overhead swing does more damage than the horizontals, I'll swing then pivot to hit them a second time with a head bonk for funsies.

No I think one of the cleave blessings is actually required. Without it you're going to stick when there's more than half a dozen zombies in front of you. I experienced this myself.

It was in a good place but there were definitely some outlier situations that could be addressed. Stuff like engineer having no clutch potential, Saltz bounty hunter's ult being bugged to be way too strong, etc The detailed patch notes make good arguments. Time will tell if the changes are good.

The most upsetting thing for me is that the Bot AI fix I use still hasn't been resanctioned yet, and it's been over a month since it broke. I sometimes really enjoy knocking out some solo legend games, but I can't carry the stock bot AI. I'm hoping they do it soon, but it's Fatshark, so there's a real possibility it just literally never happens.

The new Bolter skin has some Latin written on the viewmodel side, "Virescit Vulnere Virtus". I went to look up what this meant so I knew what my gun was saying and it appears to be from a Scottish clan crest. "Courage grows stronger at a wound," on the Stewart and Burnett crests. I run Bolter on a Martyr build with the Fanatic voiceset. A fun little bit of serendipity.

No surprise convocation got whacked. Even tho I usually run fireball because its more fun to bowling ball a whole line of rats. Especially if they are trying to make monsters more difficult. My favorite thing to do with it on unchained was block discharge spam the corus on the end boss that everybody hates on drakenfell. It just covered every base too well.

Damnation Hard Mode The Orthus Offensive COMPLETE! While this particular team comp makes it a lot more consistent, it really is all about the teamwork and execution. victory poses are something you equip on your character and you gain like a total of 3 via levelling up or something. Most classes have poses that include hard coded guns (like vet standing with lasgun or ogryn with ripper)
