Every time I've received an MRI I've been wanded with a metal detector before we go in the room. I have another one next week and they've already called me twice to remind me to bring no metal, and asked me if I have metal plates or screws installed.

I've never been detected before an mri. I've also never carried a gun into an mri scan... l've had to remove a bunch of piercings but that's about it.

When my wife had an MRI one of the questions they asked was if she has ever been a metalworker, as it can be a bit of a nasty problem for people who may have tiny flecks of metal embedded in their skin, eyes, etc.

I could only respond with 'gently caress, I hope not!' because I'm pretty sure I'd know if I did but I suddenly had doubts.
