I legitimately enjoy that Shohei Ohtani is a person I can watch play baseball, like many other players, on many other teams. As the Twins are in a neverending cycle of "wait til the kids develop" with a side of once-in-a-lifetime free agent contract, it's nice to see a team consistently trying to do better instead of being dedicated to mediocrity. I like my team. I also like that the Dodgers signed Ohtani, because he might get the one accolade that would always be out if his grasp in Anaheim. I also also like that the Yankees emply such lads as Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and now Juan Soto. Baseball is cool and good and I wish it were baseballing right now.
