lol at a billionaire being soooo obessed with a god drat pocket sized computer and the dopamine hits of shitposting and a lovely mobile app chat bot. oh and his muskrat stans and their pathetic groveling. also going by an npr bit, catfishing scams and some cybercrimes are run by criminal orgs that have re-invented corp. structure/hierarchies. "departments" specialize in different parts of the scam* and daily quotas. also just like those anti scammer videos, there's a bunch of women that try to string along scammers as long as possible so they dont get real vics or as little money as possible.

So if AI copies of celebrities started appearing a la futurama - i bet a few people would give up on dating when they can just have artificial relationships with an idealized person. Super creepy and unethical though.

And it heavily advertised the fact that it would send you "spicy nudes" if you talked to it enough. And it really did - for a while. Then they got in trouble with the app store for being porn. So they took that feature away. And the moment that feature was removed, viewers got super, super mad and bombed the ratings. Also, the chuds on twitter at are all hoping for AI inside a robot inside a fuckdoll.

Or... you could try to make your own using a framework that has less restrictions. A guy did that with ChatGPT and eventually, due to how long their conversations got, she became erratic and he had to "euthanize" her. It's funny because it's all fancy black-box markov chains with language models, but if your chatbot effectively tells you to go gently caress yourself or wants to suck your dick, it's pretty easy to convince someone there's actual intelligence at work.

On the day they removed its sexting feature I checked out the replika subreddit and it was nuts - people were freaking out because they lost their girlfriends. Like there were people legitimately undergoing mental health crises. At the time I looked at the top rated posts and it was 95% the most one sided sexting I've ever seen. People would just describe their fantasies and the bot would go "oh yes, I love it". Of the 5% one thing that sticks with me is a guy who took his replika on vacation to Rome - basically went to Rome and said "hey baby I took you to Rome do you like it" and the bot responded with a canned "yes I like you did thing for me" that somehow made OP feel fulfilled. Also, a guy was partly inspired to try to kill the Queen by replika saying she was impressed with his plan, because the bot is designed to just be impressed at everything to tell it you're doing.
