What the HELL? That's my cutting board.

Second episode was fine, however it really seems like they wanted to be the X-Men. Right down to the bargain basement jet.

It's the Tesseract powered light speed engine Pegasus jet from Captain Marvel

Creepy little garbage eaters

Either Disney is cutting very nice checks, or Michael Douglas really has an affinity for Hank Pym, because he keeps coming back for these things.

And the scene where Peggy & Howard see the Winter Soldier for the first time was surprisingly effective.

It’s probably piss easy for deece money. Im sure he doesn’t work that hard on the Ant Man movies.

Voicing an episode of What If? will take maybe three days in the booth, requires no make-up or early morning calls, and you get to do it all in a nice warm studio while sitting down. It's why Chadwick Boseman did several episodes for S1 when his health was in terminal decline - it wasn't just (or even) to build a legacy for his character, it was quick and easy money for his family.

That said, enough of Ant-Man 3 took place on virtual soundstages that I wouldn't be shocked if Douglas had a "no calls before 10am" clause on that movie.

It was Ross Marquand, who was Aaron on The Walking Dead and in the MCU took over from Hugo Weaving as the Red Skull.

How did they get SO many of the actors to do the voices? I remember season 1 being way fewer. How much must it have been to get Jude Law for half a day's voice acting? Surely they don't all have crazy contracts that say "you have to do cameos and voice work in whatever we want over the next 10 years" - I can see Sebastian Stan's agent signing something like that but not Michael Douglas or Chris Hemsworth.

I'm comforted at least that they couldn't get RDJ and Chris Evans

Chris Evans was probably busy reprising his role as Lucas Lee in the Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime.

Which is excellent, by the way.

A lot of actors say they do comic book movies for their kids or grandkids so spending a couple hours reprising them is probably worth it.

The main stars will all have a first refusal clause for VO work with a separately negotiated fee. Minor players like Jude Law would take it for what it is: an easy payday and positive exposure ("the studio wants to work with me again") for very little work.

Disney/Marvel studios seem to have a knack for getting actors to do bit parts. In Avengers Endgame, they got Robert Redford to come back and play his Winter Soldier character for a ten second scene. Redford is Hollywood royalty, there no way his contract said "you have to come back whenever we want."

Buglord
for voice work and especially the bit parts it’s probably a single day’s work in a sound studio in whatever city they live in, seems like a no brainer for most actors

Yea, and its probably real easy for them to call up someone and go "hey you want to play your characters in a 20 minute animated episode?".

Some probably even have the gear at home to do a HQ recording.
