Bethesda puts out a mid space game and it still better than obsidian's space game.

Kojima, Sam Lake and a third writer should get together and make something really crazy, but they should also be reined in by a really harsh editor.

It's barely a space game even. Obsidian's worst game by a mile.

Naw. I can still remember most of the Outer Worlds planets and areas without falling asleep and leveling up actually felt interesting in it too.

Starfield had some neat ideas but wasn't finished and lacked a clear direction. Outer Worlds was a bit too short and lacked in a few areas but at least it had an idea of what it was actually about.

I feel like most of the old devs getting the band back together hasn't turned out very well. 2 of the 3 Shadowrun games along with Battletech was pretty good though. I had hopes for the Star Control spiritual sequel but I'm not even sure the founders are still working on it.

I guess it isn't that different from other media where old directors who might've made great things back in their day often make terrible movies in their senior years.

What it was about was presenting the player with two bad choices and telling them gently caress YOU for choosing either one.

Soiled Meat
I didn't play worlds, but I read some dialog and watched some plays. It was all just bleak and nonsensical in capitalistic ways.

Somehow Starfield felt bleaker. Because I was in the room with all the UC Presidents and my guns did nothing. Then I went to the basement Obama and did a radiant quest.

Someone did a crazy mod for Ultima 9 a long time ago where they replaced absolutely all of the bad writing and story (you had to turn off voice acting) with something entirely new. I suppose you could do that for OW though I don’t know why it’d be worth the bother.
