My only old man confusion is how no cap came to be a thing. Kappa is a twitch emote (I can’t believe I’m typing this out) that is used when someone is lying or the viewer doubts the streamer basically and there’s a modified version called Kapp. So figuring out no cap (or no Kapp as I thought it was) was easy but when I first heard kids saying no cap I was confused because I didn’t think twitch was so mainstream enough at the time that they would even know the term. So I’m guessing someone popular knew Kappa or Kapp from twitch, and then kids heard them say it and without reference to twitch anymore it became “cap” since it sounds the same. I don’t even like twitch (unless twitch starts doing hours long documentary videos) and I don’t like mainstream influencer poo poo so the whole origin of no cap confuses me. Typing this out made me age 10 years ez
