the only way to truly experience linux is not in a VM where you can just use a working operating system right there but you’re stuck deep within it

to the redhat point it is likely to be the year of corporate linux as a more clearly distinct thing from "community" linux. has been the case for the better part of two decades already, but ibm has been cleaning house and the contradictions are kind of piling up.

I got fed up with Windows last year and did a full switch to Linux. No regrets, Steam plays all games just fine. I really think we're here.

AppImage is probably the closest thing to an exe on windows and those are pretty good. def better than flatpak or snap
