Agreed. One perceptive review of Saltburn noted that it's a film by a rich person on how rich people are kinda hosed up but it's not their fault.

Yeah it definitely had this undercurrent:of "watch out for the crazy poors"

Absolute trash movie. But someone was just telling me it's the Xmas movie if the season, with a bunch of families thinking it's a mystery set in the English countryside and instead get a dude loving a grave lmao

at that point you either think it's the worst scene ever or "ok yeah go there if you want, go wherever the gently caress you want, sunk cost yadda yadda"

Isn't the joke in Beetlejuice that the ghost couple are the 'ordinary' suburbanites while Lydia's parents are weird goths who bought the house specifically because it was said to be haunted? Beetlejuice even has to teach them how to be scary ghosts because they're so comically mild-mannered.

They didn't know it was haunted, but when they discovered it was haunted they decided to make it into a money making scheme

Movie producers basically consider movies to be assemblages of parts and don't understand the idea that they can be considered 'good' or 'bad' rather than just being assembled with the incorrect parts to unlock audiences spending billions of dollars to see them.

im convinced a big reason why chemistry as a concept is dead in hollywood productions is because producers straight up dont believe that its real the job of actors is to act so its an independent skill set that has nothing to do with who theyre working with

Killers of the Flower Moon was 3.5 hours long so as far as I'm concerned it's a tiny miracle that it was able to play in theaters and do pretty well for itself, since once you get beyond 3 hours theaters are gonna start to balk at that unless it's a mega popular franchise.

this movie felt like it could have been shorter but i dont really knwo what they could have cut

quote:

There is not enough information for HPD to suspect the woman was a victim of trafficking.

Police were called back to Carter's home on Friday for a welfare check after someone saw a TV on inside the home and heard a dog barking. Authorities entered the home but didn't find anyone inside. However, a dog was rescued and handed over to BARC.

Sources confirm with FOX 26 that Carter is a Houston rap artist known as "Viper". The artist has several music videos on YouTube.

Police say they're unsure where the woman victim is now, or what happened to the possible baby involved in the case.

they didn't want anything to do with the situation and figured that if they tossed her back into the lion's den then they'd never have to deal with her again

glass onion was worse because it was so far up its rear end about how clever it was

the menu was just boring

triangle of sadness was less a movie and more a mash of ideas pulled out of a bag, not bad but it feels like a tv pilot that got rejected that they cut into a feature film

glass onion spends the entire movie winking at you and nudging you. "isn't this fun?! we're having fun! this is a cheeky movie!" it's like whoever wrote it had no idea why people liked knives out and focused in on "wacky daniel craig! actors! they're acting!"
