quote:

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Angered that the team was firing two of his closest lieutenants, New York Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale cursed out coach Brian Daboll during a meeting Monday, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The New York Post reported that Martindale "said his piece, got up, slammed the door and walked out of the building" after the Giants fired outside linebackers coach Drew Wilkins and defensive assistant Kevin Wilkins. Both had come over with Martindale from Baltimore, and Drew Wilkins was considered Martindale's right-hand man.

...

The Post reported Daboll was adamant about getting rid of Drew Wilkins and, by association, Kevin Wilkins, because there "was a feeling in the building that Martindale and Drew Wilkins were creating their own fiefdom within the coaching staff, at times bypassing Daboll and believing they had to answer only to each other and, ultimately, ownership."

That list seems pretty reasonable other than Kelce coasting on his name at TE. He didn't lead the league in any statistic this year. Other than "dates with TayTay" I guess.

I wonder how the players decide who they wanna vote for at long snapper lol

He was still pretty good for TE production. 2nd in yards, 1st in yards per game, 3rd most TD catches, 3rd in catches. Kittle should have probably been the guy tho.

No idea about the Special teams guys otherwise that's a really good list. Both Kelce's kind of coasting on their reps but there aren't any absolutely dominant TEs or Centers who are getting snubbed.

28-3 and it's not close.

18-1 turned on a single play.

28-3 required the patriots to play effectively perfectly for 22 minutes + OT and the falcons to aid in their own demise.

Eh, and yet most pats fans would gladly give up 28-3 for 19-0. Even Tom Brady would. Which should tell you what was really worse.

It's close but I think 28-3 is worse simply because any number of things would have ended it, unless you believe it was inevitable and the Pats simply would have just scored more to make up for the Falcons getting a FG on one of those drives where they got pushed out of it and punted.
