It's the comic. They would probably tell you face-to-face, either at their office or at your home. If the patient had to go a great distance for testing (the hospital in the 'big city,') it might be mailed, especially if the patient had no phone, and it would probably include a summons back to the hospital to at least provide more detail. We need it in writing so Scarlet can find it later.
