Maybe they'll accidentally harvest from that area where America left a bunch of nuclear waste assuming the ice would entomb it forever (because obviously the ice sheets will never melt)

e: If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, Camp Century was a prototype for a future ICBM base disguised as a research station. It was powered by a nuclear reactor and after they gave up on it they just left a bunch of nuclear waste in place because obviously the ice would just steal up around it, solving the problem once and for all.

kind of, yeah, but I'm specifically thinking about a bunch of Healthcare.gov marketplace plans that Willa posted in the Doomsday econ thread from a bunch of different states where folks just over the Medicaid line were paying like $50-200 / month for heal insurance. lmao if you need to use it though- they all had like $10k deductibles

I've said this for years but most people probably shouldn't be small business owners, because they're not very good at it and many only succeed through labor law carveouts that make it easier to exploit their workforce. Small business owners getting their knobs slobbed by the nation's media and politicians is loving stupid. Small businesses aren't inherently better than big companies, except that you can see the rear end in a top hat who wants to gently caress you over for more money, instead of it being an abstract

I lost 50lbs in the span of a month and some change in 2021, and not only was it a pain in the rear end getting a colonoscopy (:rimshot:), the wait to even see the doctor was well over 7 months out.
