LG OLED probably. With style points going to Samsung’s Frame line, for being slightly less thing, but substantially better camouflage, and the Samsung S95C for having a single wire to the TV, with all of your IO being on a seperate breakout box that’s easier to hide.

Lg g3&m3/g4/m4 or Samsung The Wall, The Wall, The Wall!

Basically any tv where the manufacturer has the brain and i/o ports ina separate box connected by a cable.

Sin City is basically a must-see. gently caress me, I just finished watching it a few minutes ago and the blacks in it are practically made for this technology.

Anyone knowledgable on Sharp AQUOS sets? My conference room has two that are side by side, guessing they are the same model, but are displaying different aspect ratios or stretch/fill/zoom settings. I was able to "fix" one by going into View Mode -> Dot-by-dot, but they are still mismatched and the other is already at that same setting.

Nice, just remember that it's a 2 year old TV at this point and needs to be wall mounted (it includes the mount).

The military exchange currently has the 77" C3 for $2500 and the G3 for $3800 if you want to get comparable prices.

There isn't an aspect/zoom button on the remote?

Best Buy Outlet in Brockton, MA. Drove an hour thinking I might get an okay deal on a C3 or a G2, but expected to be disappointed. They had exactly one of these on the floor. I stood next to it guarding it like an eagle with her eggs.

No kidding. I've been super on the fence about dropping $2400 total for a 77" G2 oled. My 65" B7 has burn in, but it's not super bad yet.

The bottom of the TV is about 42 inches off the floor. I wish it was six inches lower but works out OK. I have a tall couch which helps. I hate looking up at a TV. The TV is angled down as well.

I'm in the market for a new TV, it's replacing a 40" Panasonic that has done well but is too small nowadays. The space it's going in will take a 55" but I think a 65 will be too big. I've ended up with some vouchers for an electronics shop and have narrowed it down to either a LG C3 or a Sony A95K.

https://www.mediamarkt.ch/de/product/_lg-oled55c37la-2179569.html
https://www.mediamarkt.ch/de/product/_sony-xr-55a95k-2124400.html

It's pretty much just going to be used to watch movies on, will be plugged into a PC initially but I think ultimately a Mac Mini.

What's the better one of these options? Or other TV from that shop if you can be bothered to look. I don't want a Samsung as I've had various poo poo products from them in the past and am fed up with them.

Are you sure a 65" would be too large? It's hard to tell from the photos, but it looks to me like a distance and space that you wouldn't regret going larger if your budget allows.

In my defense, it's the only good place for the tv to go in this room. Measures about 62 inches off the ground and the couch is 12.5 feet away. Not ideal but my basement setup is much better (and darker, and where the 4k player is).

You install an extendable mount at the proper height. The TV is going to be there for ever so no issue with putting holes in the fancy moulding or tile.
