I think this is fake. There would be a lot more angry honking at the tire if it was real

I knew the warning to not touch the third rail was nonsense. Nothing bad happened to the drill!

Bad Munki posted:https://i.imgur.com/RZARqCP.gifv That happens a bit more frequently than you might think. 4 or 5 years back I was working on a drilling job behind a building on Yonge St in Toronto. We finished our work and the engineering company hired a different company to drill at the front of the building. They drilled through a subway tunnel. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/toronto/article-toronto-subway-shut-down-after-work-crew-breach-tunnel/

Now, this video makes me somewhat uncomfortable. I'm concerned that some posters might find this superficially wholesome log video somewhat titillating or arousing. Those logs are engaged in a lewd and lascivious rolling motion. The bark is removed in a gradual and seductive manner, almost reminiscent of a striptease! I thought this was a forum of traditional American values. This video is downright pornographic!

Abraded off by the rollers? Looks like another machine that also has a big plane in it, which just sort of unrolls the log to make plywood.
|
# ? Jan 22, 2024 12:13 |

Basically yeah. The log is heavy as hell so it really doesn't want to move on its own, and the toothed rollers that are spinning it take a bite, move it a little, and tear out what they grabbed, or they just keep chewing away at one area until it rotates. Eventually its eaten to an even round by both rollers and starts to roll more easily. Its still heavy as hell though, so even then the rollers will tear up the outer layers. Then as Karate said, it goes on to a veneer cutter that turns the log into a giant flat sheet.

Not nearly that much snow, but last week I had a driver who didn't clean their roof stop for me at a crosswalk. The snow immediately slid off the roof all over the windshield and the wipers just started moving and not doing anything. Totally laughed as I walked past them.

Apparently one of the machine operators at the site I'm on put his bucket on the roof of the office building so it didnt get nicked over the weekend. It fell through the roof and now there's a big hole and the building got flooded in the rain, lmao.
