Hibernation is a neat trick, hummingbirds do it every night to not starve to death overnight. That must be rough waking up from every morning.

Makes sense. Sure he can tell there is no door there. But at least once in the past he was sure there was no door there and then he bonked his head. Glass doors are tricksy.

Alternatively, it's not about the door. He's not allowed inside until the human does the gesture. Just like he's not allowed to eat until the human does the gesture, or has to lie down when the human does the gesture.

Not looking to cause a derail or anything, but just a point of interest. What recourse exactly do us normal forum users have with respect to *dangerous* levels of cuteness? Like, due to the cuteness you, I dunno, pulled a muscle or something. Probably not a great example, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Kennel posted:Will the color stay like that (white over colored pattern except for some spots) as an adult? Cattle dogs change a lot throughout their shedding cycle because they have a dark undercoat and lighter guard hairs. He’ll probably get darker but he’ll always be ticked like that. His dad is a mottle so he’s more white with distinct spots, puppy is more like mom. Dad is the one standing up, mom is the one lying down closest to him. Fun fact, like Dalmatians, Australian cattle dogs are born white and get their color later (except for face and body patches). This is my dude’s brother when they were just taters.
