This is absolutely favorable ground to them if this stunt blows up into a national story.

Shouldn't have to point this out, but any poll showing Republicans favorable of anything is likely entirely wrong. Doesn't matter how trusted the source is, they've all been wrong. Southern Texas is solid blue, moving a military along the border is probably the dumbest poo poo ever politically for Abott and every other Texas Republican.

its also yeah i think most indies want more border immigration poo poo done, but trumps not offering solutions to them and the GOP bragging about how they killed the big deal they were making wont help them.

It really is amazing to see what happens in those old surveys when they describe what will happen to chuds if Obamacare is repealed, and they have to fight through the cognitive dissonance of wanting decent healthcare versus their deep-seeded racism against admitting that a Black man had a good idea.

Also the fact that people, to this day, don't understand that Obamacare is the nickname of the ACA.

The best case scenario for Republicans "repealing and replacing" Obamacare as far as optics are concerned would be if they somehow just took the whole thing as-is and just shuffle some inconsequential thing around, barely even touch it, and then go full blitz on right-wing media claiming they've completely overhauled it and now it's the most bigly system in the world. Not saying that'd be good for everyone else, but that's all the Republicans would have because there isn't any fix for American healthcare that doesn't push our system much further left. There's really no in-between from what we had before the ACA. Republicans have absolutely nothing for healthcare reform and never will.

Obamacare IS what Republicans had for healthcare plan. It's what Romney took credit for in Massachusetts, with marginally more consumer protection.

Except for a public option... Which was removed from the bill before it passed anyway.

I always kind of wondered if we could trick chuds into helping the planet and society by telling them that solar panels are only allowed to be installed on houses that have men with 7 inch or longer dicks. Hybrids are only sold to cisgendered men if they can bench press more than 250 lbs. The AR-15 is only available for sale if your doctor identifies that you have low testosterone and your balls are shriveled and unusable.

You don't actually test for these things, you just say it and let them figure it out.

Plenty of attorneys represent guilty-as-hell clients and Joey Taco I'm certain has no problem with that. But there's doing it in a way that preserves your client's rights and doing it the Trump way, wholly ineffectual and in a way that gets you covered in pig poo poo. The border "issue" wont ever be solved. They blame Biden for it. Dems, centrists, and libertarians want it open and get people into the workforce, and Republicans want them deported because it just means every minority in the country is a blue vote. There wont ever be a solution for it until one side has a super majority.
