Well he already paid her 5.5 and got in trouble cause he had to move that money out of the Trump org while its dissolution is under appeal. If he wants to challenge this ruling he needs to find another 83 mil somewhere and he has already established he is worth 10 billion and can pay it.

Defaming during closing arguments might be a bit ballsy at this point. Anyways congrats on soon to be billionaire EJC.

DC J6/Insurrection is on hold pending the Appeals Court deal on Presidential Immunity. Been weird that the 3-judge panel is taking so long, some opinion or another is being written. Could be dragged out en banc and to the Supreme Court. Could also clusterfuck based on the SC read of the obstruction of an official proceeding charge. Expect that in the summertime.

The Georgia RICO case is basically clusterfucked due to idiot prosecutors, don't expect that this year.

Florida classified documents is going to get delayed by the chudge to 2025 easily. To some extent that's normal for federal cases, but she's chudging too.

The Georgia case is likely in the clear because it turns out the claim about the lead prosecutor being in a divorce hearing with the other prosecutor is false, they released the unsealed docs today.

Those are dollars they would have donated to the Republicans anyway, and would otherwise have been used for their election war chest. So it did cost him 83 million dollars.

Haven't seen that analysis yet. I've only seen that DA Willis more or less hired a current love interest as prosecutor to run the investigation/case, which is likely enough to gently caress with things. IIRC there's an evidentiary hearing still on with the RICO judge next month, even if this divorce thing is dead.

Even without that, Georgia RICO poo poo takes forever and probably wouldn't start this year unless they pull miracles somehow.

I sincerely doubt DJT has $400m cash on hand. He definitely has some money laying around and certainly has some unencumbered equity in properties, but he is not $400m in cash wealthy. $83.3m is also well outside what he can get his campaign to pay.

Reminder that his $1m expert witness in NY civil suit and Habba's $2.5m fee thus far have been paid with campaign/PAC money.

Sure Meemaw and Papaw are gonna fill up Donnie's coffers to fight the woke or whatever, but every dollar he hoovers up is that much less that can go to the rest of the Republican party. They've already had multiple state parties coming up totally broke because Donnie is soaking up every dollar they used to get by being the chief grifter of the party. At least now that money goes to a real person instead of a fascist political party or a narcissistic conman.

Even with all those donations I don't think he's financially stable. It's been pretty well established for a while that the only meaningful asset trump has is the 5th avenue tower he sold off his inheritance to buy. Pretty much every other business venture in his lifetime (casinos, airlines, football, MLMs, education, etc, etc) has been a failure financed by mortgaging that property further, but he has had the good fortune that NYC real estate has gotten more valuable faster than he has been able to lose money. Licensing his name and doing TV shows brought in cash, but it was never sustainable revenue, and most of his golf courses are barely break-even except where he uses them to launder donations. This defamation judgment and NYC fraud case have a serious chance to tear down the whole shoddy mess.

It’s not a defense of this rear end in a top hat to point out that he pled to assault and battery, which is rather distinct from sexual assault.

Shoving someone and they shrug it off might be simple assault. Shoving someone onto the ground might be assault consummated by battery. Beating someone severely might be aggravated assault.

Committing a sexual act on a person through placing them in fear would be sexual assault.

quote:

an assault consummated by battery is defined as bodily harm to another done without legal justification or excuse and without the lawful consent of the person affected; bodily harm is defined as any offensive touching).

In the above an example of consent is agreeing to contact sports or a sparring match, not consent in the sexual sense. Some things can’t be consented to, such as consenting to being hazed or tortured.

I bet if he committed sexual assault, he would face harsher punishment than he is for assault and battery.

Not really relevant at his level of inherited wealth. He could have done nothing other than maintain his dad's apartments - or stopped after the trump tower development - and easily lived the billionaire playboy image he played up to the media. Instead he went in over and over again on failed investments that were based more around image than profitability until he got to the point where he had to play a clown on TV for the cash flow. And because america, he was able to leverage his kayfabe rich person image into the highest position of power by throwing in some xenophobia and authoritarianism.
