It's nice to want things to change. It's fine to be a leftist and say you won't vote for a liberal. It's also kicking and screaming like a baby with no actual understanding for how politics in our country works and no eye towards the future.

If you don't like foreign policy then change domestic policy. You can't change what we do abroad until we fix our issues at home. In fact, our foreign policy will be the last thing to change. Refusing to vote or voting in a counterproductive manner just slows everything down.

Meh, almost all of you know this already.

these people are nice, they're trying. I just don't know what to say after a point, and I know I can be annoying to them, but this topic absolutely breaks me. if anything, I'd say law could maybe be useful to helping to defend protesters and activists, but it can't do anything on the national or international scale because that is rigged beyond measure.

"Muslims don't like dogs" sounds like a rablib saying "Muslims hate gay people," but I'm ignorant on the subject.

It’s iffy with some hardline Muslims but for the most part they’re fine with dogs and many have them as pets, though they’re not as popular as cats. The seluki dog breed is strongly bonded to Bedouin tribes and do a lot of hunting for them

I don't think a sweeping generalization in regards to a given religion and animals based on scripture is appropriate. Catholics, for instance, think animals are effectively supernatural automatons in the afterlife, as they lack souls. I really doubt normal, everyday Catholics believe that because that's bizarre and sort of chilling.

We asked Abdullah about the Qur'anic verse: "Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead. Nay, they are alive, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord." (iii. 169). He said: We asked the meaning of the verse (from the Holy Prophet) who said:

The souls, of the martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in chandeliers hung from the throne of the Almighty. They eat the fruits of Paradise from wherever they like and then nestle in these chandeliers. Once their Lord cast a glance at them and said: Do ye want anything? They said: What more shall we desire? We eat the fruit of Paradise from wherever we like. Their Lord asked them the same question thrice. When they saw that they will continue to be asked and not left (without answering the question). they said: O Lord, we wish that Thou mayest return our souls to our bodies so that we may be slain in Thy way once again. When He (Allah) saw that they had no need, they were left (to their joy in heaven).

Islam also says all animals worship and acknowledge Allah through their own ways.

I would wager most Democrats view Schiff as "the most liberal" among those options, solely because he's the one they see most vocally attacking Trump (which is how they define "how liberal" you are).
