It's definitely a running theme in Ace Attorney but the actual plots tend to still be "the bad man got caught so everything is going to be fine" since the games aren't really about that.

like sae admitted to knowingly sending innocent people to jail to further her career (aka the same thing that ruined poker's life) and I don't remember anyone calling her on it. The theme of persona 5 is how about the myriad ways the status quo can gently caress you if you don't neatly fit into a box and none of it is fixed. It would be OK if the writers were going doing the cynical thing, but they just dropped it for they mystic poo poo.

it's very funny that you can spend kenji's entire social link going "dude, no, that's loving dumb" and then at the end you were right, it was loving dumb extremely realistic high school friendship arc, a lesser game would have insisted on some kind of twist along the way

i dunno p3's gameplay directly contradicts its themes. the game thematically is trying to tell you "death comes for us all, treasure those fleeting moments while you can" but meanwhile the gameplay ends up like "idk there are literally no events for me to do today because the devs didn't tune the game enough so i'll just go to sleep until school starts back up i guess." (or "i have only a few weeks left before the end, i guess ill spend that time doing homework and playing crane games.")
