The funniest thing about Argylle is that it's supposedly an adaptation of the fourth book out of a series of books, none of which have been published yet IIRC, with a clearly manufactured "conspiracy theory" about how they were written by Taylor Swift under a pen name. Oh, and the director said "George Lucas started with Episode IV of Star Wars, and that worked out pretty well for him" when asked why he didn't just start with the first book in the series

BACK IN MY DAY this would have been a direct to video animation sold in that standard Disney soft white plastic clamshell case, and I would have seen it in several hundred times during summer break while babysitting my brothers. Maybe alongside Small Soldiers and The Phantom Menace. That is the only acceptable delivery system and venue for a Lion King prequel imo.

I'm realizing that they probably used the skype gimmick because they must have broken down the nerd crew set a long time ago. Shame, it was a good one.

Yup, bunch of the voice actors are different, reeks of cheapness, clearly rushed production to cash in, despite this you somehow see it more than the original. Like your watching Aladdin 2 and it’s loving Homer Simpson doing the Genie’s voice
