It’s a little early to predict wins totals but I think we can say the nfc East this year will be
1. Washington
2. Eagles
3. Dallas

The chances are low. At this point we better hope quinn was poo poo or the defense is going to get worse and waste the prime years of at least one hall of famer.

I'm so sorry. The problem with Kliff is not even play calling. He won't design plays. In Arizona he did not innovate further than the normal Mike Leach offense, which usually falls apart by week 8 because defenses have his entire game plan by week 5

I'm fully sold on Zimmer as DC; all the voices I trust think he's a good fit.

Zimmer is probably the best DC candidate out there left, so it would be a win for Dallas if they sign him.

Zimmer is, if you want to be pessimistic about it, equivalent to Quinn. like Indy wouldn't trigger the boulder by switching one for the other

but I think he'll be obviously better looking back from the end of the 2025 season. odds are it'll take ~10 games for the players to understand and execute his system so it may look like a downgrade at first. this assumes Jerry hasn't fired everyone in 11 months.

I once saw someone say that the Patriots were such perfect villains that no straightforward heroes could defeat them, only teams that rejected traditional definitions of good and evil. The Giants didn't care about the righteousness of their cause - they only came to clown, and clown they did.

Overconfident and cocky ("We're only going to score 17 points? Ha Ha. Ok.") and the greatest coach who ever breathed air didn't bother to make any adjustments from their week 17 matchup. The Giants D-line read every pats offensive play like a loving book and put pretty boy Brady on his rear end. (9 QB hits, 5 sacks).

On offense they ran ball control to limit the explosiveness of Brady2Moss and Eli sacked the gently caress up and drove the field when it counted, helmet catch and all.

From my extremely hazy memory, it felt like they were making contact with Brady on almost every play. Strahan was playing lights out. They prioritized speed rushing and Spags got his reputation for pressuring. It was beautiful.

Then in 2011 Tuck gets his shot and they get Brady to do dumb stuff like intentionally ground and throw bomb picks. But we all know the highlight of 46 was the Butt-chdown.
