How many times in the series did Bobby take a lesson his Father tried to teach him or some specific words or actions his Father told him to do, and then did them, only to be told he was wrong because he'd combined the things in a way his entirely unimaginative Father hadn't thought of??? Seriously Hank was a good provider but a bad Dad. Still better than his dad was.

I'm pretty sure Bobby thinks it's hilarious every time he confuses his dad. Also helps Hank does his best to be reasonable on most topics and explains the logic for his actions. There's dialogue between them, Hank doesn't expect to be obeyed unquestioningly.
