A Georgia judge ruled Monday that he will hold at least two days of potentially explosive televised hearings on whether to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the election fraud case against former President Donald Trump because of her romantic affair with the special prosecutor she hired to oversee it.

But Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee also cautioned lawyers seeking to have Willis and Nathan Wade dismissed − and the case thrown out entirely − that he will not tolerate attempts to smear their reputations through unproven allegations.

"If there's anything that is referring to ... harassment or undue embarrassment, I'm not going to feel inhibited from stepping in, even without an objection from counsel, to move this along and keep it focused on the issues at hand," McAfee said during a nearly two-hour emergency hearing Monday.

sounds about right. my guess is unless the other side has solid proof, then willis and co are fine and i dont think they have massive proof.

Imagine taking a fresh mortgage on your house, but instead of paying it back, you just plan on defaulting from the get-go, also the money trickles in on a monthly basis. You keep paying all the maintenance costs while the value of the house keeps increasing, and ultimately lose a ton of money in the process. What a great plan!

there's even some stupider forms of millennial "action" where after Roe's death they went to some marches and donated money once, but when asked to help vote in local/state level stuff to make sure an R loses they abdicate this vector of decent medium term/long term action.

wow dude you sure did take some primo selfies at the march and posted a 100$ receipt . tooo bad the R won made it hell for healthcare places and schools/libraries.

The funny thing is Donald Trump could fix America, like all of it, economy, border, crime, respect, housing, education, etc., if we just gave him another shot. We've seen the alternative. America is currently a third world shithole country ever since late 2020. But it can be fixed. Vote Trump like your life depends on it because, my friends, it does!

You're basically selling the house in increments while you get to stay in it, so it's a product with a purpose, but it's so easy to abuse it, and at the same time it's marketed to a particularly vulnerable population so it's just sketchy all aroubd.

millipedes grew up in a generation of meanness. where caring was "gay" and "u mad?" was the best comeback ever. apathy was the only way forward.
even here, sometimes, someone busts out with "lol u mad, bro?" in other forms, "not caring" was the only way to survive because once you cared people could attack you and be cheered on.

there was a LOT of hatred left over from the 80's. not being a big strong man that took care of your problems with grunting and bullets got you labeled a slur. i was doxxed in the early days of the internet and no one cared. people would call me to threaten my life and the moderator of the forum just banned me for complaining
gently caress, i bet half the people in this forum used to do that poo poo. this website was built on being mean to people and hooting and hollering when they got offended

even right now, when i'm just gently defending people, i'm expecting people here to mock and belittle "u scared of internet bro??? just close your eyes *cry laugh emoji*

nowadays it's ok to stand up to your racist grandpa, back in the day you'd just be hit until you bled and made fun of for bleeding.

I agree it's really loving dumb it looks like he'll get in because it's definitely more to do with everybody being sick and tired of the Trudeau Liberals than any coherent platform he's running on.

It is. Willis has admitted she and Wade did develop a relationship, but it happened long after he was appointed special prosecutor and had no bearing on the case.

Defendants are arguing that Willis only is pursuing this prosecution for personal pecuniary gain. The only thing they have to support this argument is that Wade’s firm paid for trips for Willis that were related to the investigation. It’s a huge nothingburger.

Even if the judge disqualified the prosecutors, the case isn’t dead. He’s not dismissing the case it will just be handled by someone else.
