Got a hot tip for everyone, rebind your stratagem keybinds from WASD to arrow keys and you will be able to move around while inputting the commands, handy if being chased by a titan or charger and you need those weapons now. Friend got me the game and they really nailed the franticness and how you can die at any moment, game needs a bit of a numbers pass on bringing the weaker guns up to snuff and making it so shooting bugs like chargers in their giant glowing weakspots actually does real damage with smaller weapons, but they nailed the entire game's formula right at release.

God. The fact bot dropships do a little up and down bob, plus the deceptively long deploy and delayed switch to first person camera on the disposable rocket for some loving reason has really been loving with me to the point solo reloading the recoilless suddenly feels like a brilliant plan for the improved rate of "switch to gun, aim gun, shoot gun at engine" At least the low level newbie I took on a whirlwind duo tour of 2nd difficulty bot missions after a disastrous string of "Host mined the rescue huts again" appreciated me making 2/3 of my disposable rocket dropship shots  (I am a sham who has not left medium-challenging tops).

Just barely failed an extract mission and the host kicked us all after we returned to ship, lol. This was the first game I could get into after Failed to Join Lobby error after error after error too.

What is up with this extract mission for the automatons? It seems impossibly hard. We were trying it on difficulty 5 and there were constant dropships one after another the entire mission. It seemed utterly impossible. We tried it 3 times before giving up and going back to killing bugs. Yeah that was my experience too on Challenging, just being pushed out of the area and chased around by bots with chainsaws until I quit cause it was silly. edit: also civilian extraction is extremely common on Draupnir at least. I understand calling down reinforcements on bile titans or something, but it's getting old summoning my grenade launcher, dying instantly because someone blows me up, then spending 10 minutes getting reinforced onto enemy waves, landing, running, dying, getting summoned into the middle of a wave again, etc etc. Just throw my reinforcement into a peaceful area please!!!! On that note, also don't drop right next to a red area at the start of a mission if it's over level 4. I don't like starting in a running firefight when I'm trying to get my supply pack and grenade launcher, I can't kill them fast enough and there will be dropships/bug tunnels if we don't prepare first.

Well that’s because it’s not a heat map. It’s just showing bases. If you drop on a place of interest by accident which are not marked then it will probably have guards and also you can just get unlucky and drop onto or next to a patrol.

There's a lot of salty, lovely teammates in this game right now. I assume once the Call of Duty crowd moves on it will be better, but right now it's popular enough that it's attracting all sorts of folks and not just the horde defense people who have been doing this for years.

Fuckin double post Had a bot match where we had to extract civilians. Someone put mines on the door. Someone else had a hot mic. When I asked who it was they said, "I DO! REEEEEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!" and started TKing as much as possible.

Yeah the bot civilian extraction missions seem 100% bugged, I tried one on challenging and everyone died incredibly quickly until eventually I was alone running out the clock. There's something awry with the spawn cadences

Bots wise examples again, but people may not be trying to do dumb poo poo throws and the game may be loving with you to ensure you are in danger/not on safe terrain. Because even in a few failed attempts at the bot invasion of hell, it would keep hurling my drop pod away from a nice safe rooftop faster than it is possible to steer, towards the pain instead of five seconds of cover to call your new gun. Which brings to mind all the times I missed a nice ledge, or boulder that would block line of sight, by just enough to leave me in danger over time.
