So I live in the city where that water park under construction exploded this week. Could smell the smoke when I got home from work that day, I live semi-close and also high up, so not really surprising. The place is still partially on fire, one person is still missing, and they've deemed it still too risky to go in and do an extensive search. So the exact cause of the fire hasn't been confirmed yet. And the place was almost finished, too. It was built as an extension of Liseberg, already the largest amusement park in the Nordic countries, and it was supposed to open this summer. Was supposed to bring in a lot of tourist money, the people in charge had talked about how it would make Liseberg the "Disneyland of the North". Instead, ten years of work gone just like that.
