I like to use the Merlin app to ID birds. My bird watching guide in Costa Rica actually recommended it.

Yeah I know CR is famous for wildlife but I surprised with just how many different birds there were even in just one location (most from around Tortuguero). In The Gambia where I was about a year ago is supposedly also a popular sport for birds but I don't think I've seen that on a similar river boat trip. Though it wasn't specifically a birding trip so maybe there were better places.

I actually did search for just such an app before, thinking it should be trivial with modern ML but there was only one dead app that didn't seem to actually do anything. With a quick test this did ID the vulture immediately though so that's cool, thanks!
