Nah, politics in general is boring as poo poo and a long rear end grind, not so much good and evil as accounting. And meetings. You know what's funny as poo poo? watching nazis vote over what shade of green the park benches will be painted this fiscal year.

yeah politics by and large are not these titanic battles with epic votes. it’s the mundane machinery of everyday. the biggest decisions are made on shadow dockets, in closed door meetings and by way of path dependency from minor decisions. the good thing about the daily show is that it made this boring rear end poo poo somewhat relatable and interesting. political apathy is some cursed poo poo and it largely favors the rich and elderly. the show sure as poo poo ain’t revolutionary agitprop but there’s definitely some positive influence that a vaguely progressive, broadly popular TV show can have.

Haven't you seen holocaust documentaries? It could happen here! All the bad things could happen here! And it is only through constant vigilance that evil is momentarily held at bay, but it doesn't always work and sometimes republicans get elected anyway. It's only a matter of time before the right wing strips us of all our freedoms and everything we cherish and force us to worship their false god. Ok I'm getting a little worked up. Maybe I'd find it less stressful if it weren't an election year and Donald Trump had died of autoerotic asphyxiation in the 90's.

Praxis is when people who discovered socialism online in 2017 decide to leave their posting stations and participate in low-risk "activism" like slipping photos of Thomas Sankara into japanese light novels at the liberry for other weebs to find

From what I can tell "praxis" means ordering bad lattes in local cafes that will only be in business for a few months that provide dumbed down pamphlets on socialism and JO crystals etc, so that you can tell everyone they should read The Literature. At least this is from everyone I've met that has ever used the term with a straight face anyway. Edit: I've been informed praxis is when you tell people they need to do praxis. syntaxfunction fucked around with this message at 14:36 on Feb 18, 2024 |

Praxis, or Praxis points are just what skill points in the newer Deus Ex's are called. If you explore thoroughly you can have enough praxis to max out your Adam Jensen.

According to the eco cafe i worked for in college praxis involves forcing broke students to track you down physically to get paid under the table. This wouldnt have been a problem except the owner lived a whimsical rear end schedule-less life.

It's a show about exposing the evil and hypocrisy of the American government and the backwardness and stupidity of American culture. It seems mean spirited when an outsider does it. I'm probably just being oversensitive.
