I’m thinking of Chloe grace moretz she’s like 17 I think Sydney Sweeney was in under the silver lake which was badass even if it was mostly filmed in echo park not silver lake but I saw my old house in it so thats a big reason I like it. But also it’s my headcanon that Andrew Garfield is Maude Lebowskis son. I’m not sure where I was going with this

Watching The Brothers Sun at the moment and it's perfectly fine, tempered with a constant feeling that it should be better. It seems that each episode might be scripted (and directed?) by different people, which might be why it's so uneven and characters flip-flop all over the place. The new season of True Detective reminded me that I hadn't yet seen Fargo, season 4. It remains thoroughly entertaining, although it's the exact same tone and tropes as the previous seasons: repressed mid-Westerners killing each other in the snow, dogged cops trying to work it out, glowering crime bosses being out-smarted, eccentric killers, sudden explosions of violence ...

I didn't watch Euphoria because it sounded very unpleasant. In my youth I sought that kind of thing out but now grandpa just wants his entertainment mush. When I was an edgelord 19 year old I used to say Todd Solondz was my favorite filmmaker. Now I wouldn't watch Happiness unless you paid me.

Happiness is much more memorable and original. Storytelling was pretty good too, but not as good as Happiness, imo. I haven't watched any of his stuff since then. Have you?
