When I first played… I think it was the first expansion for Half Life? They had much larger rooms and brought my fps down to 5 in the sewers

Doom 2 with 4 megabytes of RAM would go down to less than 1 fps (a frame every couple of seconds really) in the last map after it had spawned a bunch of monsters in the big open area. That's why I never finished the game (without using the no-clipping cheat) until visiting an uncle who happened to have the game and a better PC.

Eventually upgrading to 8 MB of RAM fixed it.

(Doom 1 was fine with 4 MB, and Doom 2 was entirely playable except for that last map)

While they’re patching Pentiment to address that 120fps thing, could they also patch in voice acting for all 100+ npcs in the game, please and thank you.

I only hear half of all voice acting because I skip to the next sentence when I'm done reading the current one.

At least voice acting is better than that dreadful typewriter dialogue style.

Cool, cant wait to play the FF7 Remake as well, or is that still a playstation exclusive? Microsoft can trade it for a couple call of duties and a port of Blinx The Time Sweeper.

Quite interested in the takes on this from XBox gamers who haven't played it before (I'm a keen fan of it on the PC and the PS5). Looking forward to many new people joining Eorzea.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy, the 3D stealth-puzzle platformer first announced as a day 1 Game Pass title at the 2022 Xbox summer showcase, is apparently no longer coming to Game Pass at launch. Too bad, since the recent Steam demo was fairly promising.

Going by their Twitter timeline, it seems like this might be a result of Raw Fury dropping the game as a publisher and not something on Microsoft's end, but we'll see if this becomes a pattern; so far, the only other case I recall of a game being officially announced, and then un-announced, as a day 1 Game Pass title is Victoria 3.

I know that feeling. When Sea of Thieves added the Monkey Island dlc, every dialogue line was also voiced by great voice actors. But it took so long for them to finish every sentence that I mostly skipped half of every line.

You can filter in the app, "Optimized for Touch". Fewer games seem to offer it lately.

They finally added touch controls to the Xbox app, but 1) it needs to be installed on your console obviously, and 2) no 360/OG support.
