Noticed that the upcoming UHD for Tarkovsky's Nostalghia is $15, so I preordered it. It wasn't quite a must-buy for me but for that price I couldn't turn it down.

I already have Nostalghia on Bluray (and Tarkovsky's entire feature filmography) but I preordered the Nostalghia UHD for $15 because it will most certainly be better than the old transfer Kino put out and it will be cheaper.

It's actually been a couple of years since I bought some Criterions so I decided to treat myself a little this time. Picked up Citizen Kane, Uncut Gems, Lost Highway and Parasite. Except Citizen Kane, all blind buys. I've seen some of Lost Highway in bits and pieces but never in its entirety.

Definitely if you're into stop-motion then you really can't go wrong with Pinocchio. Every once in a while I get the itch to watch a stop-motion film so I've tried to build up a little collection along with my Harryhausen blu rays.

Someone talk me into/out of dropping $40 on the Kino Lorber 4K ‘Leviathan’. I like the movie but I’m not sure I $40 like it unless it’s a real upgrade over the Blu-ray, and even then I don’t know how often KL stuff goes on sale.

Kino has sales all the time, if you like slipcovers it may be gone by then, if people keep paying $40 and $50 for one movie the prices will keep going up.
