I'm trying to find the will to keep on keepin on in this godforsaken nightmare society by finding joy in the little things. cooking, a walk when it's breezy out. drive on the curvy road in front of red rocks. I dunno man. Everything's just getting so loving bad, and no, HaViNg a TeCh jOb doesn't magically make it all go away cause i don't have to worry if i can afford an occasional gadget. Just the massive naked disrespect for humanity and the entire concept of people-need-to-live-to-consume-your-poo poo-so-dont-take-away-their-loving-job-you-idiots i am not looking forward to like 2030 or whatever.

The city here was looking at building some small shelters for the homeless https://www.publicsource.org/homelessness-pittsburgh-downtown-riverfronts-temporary-managed-communities-tiny-houses/ At a hearing this month, a prominent local injury attorney showed up to the hearing to say that it shouldn't be built because "it'll just attract more addicts." Dude doesn't even live in the city.

There's been a resurgence of lovely dog-eat-dog mean-spiritedness in the past five or six years, just needless nastiness. e.g. the creation of a larger-than-ever cohort of homeless people due to squeezing housing, and responding to the created problem by saying that those people are just defective and should be institutionalized anyway. if y’all weren’t watching, the defenses’ entire “good faith basis” for filing the motion for fani willis to be removed as prosecutor was based upon drunk speculation from a lawyer that just thought he was bullshitting with a friend. there’s nothing there, and the judge is likely to deny the motion following closing arguments on friday.

he didn’t get an excessive salary, though. wade is paid bog standard what all special prosecutors are and actually had over 1000 unbilled hours because there’s a hard cap to how many hours he could get paid for but the work took much more. the whole pay thing was because trumper defense attorneys don’t understand how to read an invoice and wade was given the check to pay for 2-3 lawyers’ work by the city because they were partners. he left money on the by being a special prosecutor because he could have billed 100% of his time if he had been working on anything else. they also weren’t dating when he was hired and he wasn’t the first choice. the first choice turned them down specifically because he didn’t want the heat coming from this type of prosecution.
