What are you looking at?
Ralphie murders Tracee in the sixth episode of season three. His son catches an arrow with his chest in the ninth episode of season four, the same one where the stables burn down and Tony kills Ralph.

Deal with it.
While I like the storyline, the set up to Ralphies kid getting shot is hilariously, cartoonishly dumb even by the standards of dumb kids doing dumb things, it's more comparable to a scene in the simpsons where homer buys a gun and Bart is about to use it to shoot an apple out of Milhouse's mouth.

I find it 100% believable that Ralph would get his sons a real bow with real arrows, instead of those suction cup/velcro ones like a normal parent

I was at a family party and my 8 year old cousin was off near the woods with his friend, throwing an 8 inch knife blade into the air as high as they could, trying to catch it. Kids are absolutely that stupid.

I suppose I should never underestimate kid's ability to do amazingly stupid stuff, its just that the setup is so blunt about how this is going to end up, the kid's are literally shooting arrows at a target the other one is holding?! Jeez, if they had them dare each other to fistfight a pride of lions with steaks strapped all over them it would have been more subtle.

I'd say the dumbest thing I remember my classmates doing was something called an 'American Dream', where they'd briefly choke out each other to cut off the flow of blood to the brain to get a high sensation.

I... didn't partake.

Yep, looking back at it I'm kinda bewildered none of us got injured at all beyond some minor burns/bleeding.

Another Bill posted:

Just a couple of times with airguns, but yes we took turns shooting at cans. I'm actually surprised looking back that nobody (well, one friend in particular) suggested we "test" how tough we were by shooting at each other.

Yeah, never did anything like that, though when we were younger we would "wrestle" in big brawls/royal rumbles and test out the different submission holds on each other. Thankfully it was pre-UFC days!

I do remember hearing that one of the guys in my class ended up dying in his late teens (I'd long since moved out of the area, so no idea if it was true or not) from drinking gasoline, so I guess some people never get out of that stupid "let's do dangerous stuff!" mindset.

Basically...

he sprayed a little puddle of lighter fluid on the outside of the back wall and lit it on fire to show that the fire would only be contained to the little puddle of fluid and wouldn't spread to the rest of the wood
