Okay, just caught up on this. What the gently caress? My first big hook into SomethingAwful was a "Let's Watch" thread for Starship Troopers full of hilarious gifs, and then from there I got linked to some of TDI's Resident Evil threads and I've been here ever since. It's exceptionally weird to see someone who seems to have figured out the whole content creator parasocial relationship thing (make people care about you personally), but then instead of doing anything productive he just used it to make a bunch of people sad. hosed up.

Honestly after all of this I almost feel inspired to finally work on one of the LP concepts I've had on the backburner for years. My greatest fear has always been burnout because I have a long history of unfinished projects, but I can't do any worse than lying about death and illness so I can take a break. I promise I'll only come up with mundane lies, like a workplace injury at the garden gnome factory.
