Heyman’s Hall of Fame induction will be interesting considering they can’t mention who he was managing for twenty years.

Heyman’s induction is a no-brainer, but I’m not sure about your point regarding, um, Big Show and Kurt Angle, the only two people he was managing, like, twenty years ago and absolutely no one else.

Just saw a few drones on Twitter suddenly getting excited about AEW because commentary on RAW mentioned Sting's retirement and said it was an epic match, lol. Reminds me of when they made a big deal of Michael Cole finally using the term 'pro-wrestling' on commentary.

just head sting who formerly wrestled for wwe as sting is about to retire. that'll put butts in the seat

The closest they came to doing something like that in a classy way was when Don West passed away but even then they couldn't namedrop his company so Cole had to cornily say that he "made an IMPACT". It was a nice moment but.the artificiality that affects every layer of this company is ridiculous. Acknowledging Sting is nice to a degree but it's being championed by fed fans as this huge moment and win for wrestling when WWE can't even say a guy who wrestled for 40 years had a cool last match. lmao

if sting truly wanted to retire he would have done so in wrestlemania against the undertaker and put the yougner talent (taker) over, mark

I do wonder if WWE makes an offer for Sting to do one more run. Even if they won't expect him to do it, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Pat said it and before he was even done with his sentence Cole hurriedly changed the subject. You can tell Pat wasn't done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaXI0RInTvA It's nice it was acknowledged at all but I don't think saying that it felt artificial or passive is incorrect.

It wasn't to actually honor Sting, it was to make all of their dumbass fans clap like seals and go EPIC GESTURE CLASSY HHH IS COOKIN VINCE WOULD NEVER 😭😭😭 while under no circumstances actually acknowledging that Sting had been wrestling somewhere else for the last four years.

Social media may be bullshit and all but WWE is one of the only major companies to not acknowledge Sting's retirement on their platforms despite owning the vast majority of his career footage as well so forgive me for thinking they may have a vested interest in keeping their garden as walled as possible and for finding it to be lame in the face of, you know, what every other wrestling company is doingMJeff posted:It wasn't to actually honor Sting, it was to make all of their dumbass fans clap like seals and go EPIC GESTURE CLASSY HHH IS COOKIN VINCE WOULD NEVER 😭😭😭 while under no circumstances actually acknowledging that Sting had been wrestling somewhere else for the last four years.
