And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

Heyman’s induction is a no-brainer, but I’m not sure about your point regarding, um, Big Show and Kurt Angle, the only two people he was managing, like, twenty years ago and absolutely no one else.

Just saw a few drones on Twitter suddenly getting excited about AEW because commentary on RAW mentioned Sting's retirement and said it was an epic match, lol. Reminds me of when they made a big deal of Michael Cole finally using the term 'pro-wrestling' on commentary.

Lol yeah Cole used this extremely passive language and then the second the word "match " came out of McAfee's mouth Cole instantly moved on.

These people can't even do a simple gesture without coming off like complete psychopaths.

The closest they came to doing something like that in a classy way was when Don West passed away but even then they couldn't namedrop his company so Cole had to cornily say that he "made an IMPACT". It was a nice moment but.the artificiality that affects every layer of this company is ridiculous.

Acknowledging Sting is nice to a degree but it's being championed by fed fans as this huge moment and win for wrestling when WWE can't even say a guy who wrestled for 40 years had a cool last match. lmao

I do wonder if WWE makes an offer for Sting to do one more run. Even if they won't expect him to do it, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Pat literally said it was an “epic match” though so they can say it. Just because Cole changed the subject doesn’t mean Pat’s words never happened.

Pat said it and before he was even done with his sentence Cole hurriedly changed the subject. You can tell Pat wasn't done.

It's nice it was acknowledged at all but I don't think saying that it felt artificial or passive is incorrect.

I'll be honest this seems indistinguishable from Cole's normal steamroller style but maybe it's something.

Social media may be bullshit and all but WWE is one of the only major companies to not acknowledge Sting's retirement on their platforms despite owning the vast majority of his career footage as well so forgive me for thinking they may have a vested interest in keeping their garden as walled as possible and for finding it to be lame in the face of, you know, what every other wrestling company is doing

I'm still confused at why no TNA footage was used or maybe the the owl company tried to play hardball with some absurd price for 30 seconds of footage

I dunno but ever since TNA and AAA did that whole WE'RE SUCH GOOD PARTNERS THIS IS THE BEST PARTNERSHIP EVER I've gotten the feeling both are annoyed at AEW. AAA for pretty obvious reasons, TNA I'm not sure why.
