Yesterday was my first day back from vacation and they surprised me by informing me I am training another employee on a new-ish robot procedure this week. I am not a great trainer but I think we are doing ok, despite the fact that I just learned this procedure myself right before my vacation and i am in no way an expert! Turns out the person who was supposed to be the trainer is on a medical restriction where they have to sit down most of the time for several weeks. I guess I should appreciate that they picked me over a few other people who seem more qualified, but really it's not a reward unless I get paid more to train (I do not) Here's something cute https://i.imgur.com/oxrjCMN.mp4 And EFN I hope you have a very nice trip

I'm through security and passport control. Currently eating an overpriced quiche. The guy at passport control was like "Where are you heading? Aru...Aruba...?". Then I tried to pronounce it in katakana English and couldn't either. We had a good laugh about it. He said it was the first he'd seen it. I'm not surprised about that. An unironic "Ooh! There's a new Mexico!" moment.
