I like that if you dig deeper, it's not that the minorities were inherently bloodthirsty murderers all along, but rather the implication is in that universe they had a terrible role model - a white guy. Maybe one day Levine will find a way to talk about Israel in a way that isn't completely loving stupid.

The game just doesn't give a poo poo about it's own coding besides rapture and ryan itself. Saying Atlas/fontaine is a "side" is kinda like saying an infection from poor health is a side. Like i said your reading ain't wrong but there's a reason it was missed. Besides gaming discourse being that dumb enough to be easily distracted by corporate mandated morality mechanics (causing ludo-narrative dissonance) and pranks played on the players of course. If they were smarter they would at least have looped that into bioshock's original commentary on choice but nope, just plot spackle. God, still mad over Burial at Sea II, so much wasted potential.
