From what I understand the British and French themselves told Finland that of the expeditionary force only some 30 000 would come to Finland itself which seems to suggest that they had no idea how bad the situation was for Finland in late February, early March. What could a force like that accomplish other than a fighting retreat back to Sweden?

About 15,000 total recorded deaths of Gazans by December 7, mostly women and children. Presumably some militants in the total but it's really heavily weighed towards women and children so probably not many. So yes, about half.
