You just earned yourself a kebab, because that's not a dirty joke in the slightest it's just a goofy one. "Pretty friendly chicken" is akin to a private label version of a brand-name "Bird of Happiness."

(And a quick search tells me that a Bird of Happiness is a Russian folk art thing, not a bird that jerks you off.)

I mean yeah, in the movie obviously it's the Bird of Happiness, this was just in my friend's interpretation. I'm pretty sure in the 1950s Soviet Union people's idea of a happy ending was a breadline where you got half a piece of bread at the end.

But thanks guys, glad to hear I'm not losing my mind

They did Zombie Nightmare on one of the Make More MST live rif-alongs, and after the movie they had the actor who played the young cop. According to him, the director just told everyone to be someone else. He told the actor playing the medical examiner to be Columbo.

I pulled this from mobile so I can't timestamp it, but if you just want to scrub to about the last 45 minutes, that's roughly where the interview starts.

lol, that was the worst Columbo impression I've ever heard. But that's a cool story and a lot of the stuff in the movie makes more sense now.

Also, Final Justice is just starting on the Foreverathon.

"Ooh, I wish I was illiterate so I didn't have to read that."

apparently Final Justice is so mean because Joe Don Baker took offense at the jokes in Mitchell and said if he ever met the MST3K guys, he was going to beat them up. So they decided to triple down and the result is Final Justice.

And apparently everything was mostly blown out of proportion. It wasn't so much Baker suddenly decided the cow town puppet show was his mortal enemy, it was people kept pestering him about it but the Brains didn't know that.

Just found out that the actors playing Hank and Elaine were real-life brother and sister, which makes that aspect of the film grosser but also more coherent ("Oh, THAT is why they have no chemistry")

Still want to know why Elaine was so poorly dubbed, though.

Well the resemblance is definitely obvious in retrospect. Somehow I never noticed before she's dubbed though, but now it's equally obvious :psyduck:

Indeed I saw somebody say they 'jumped the shark' because Point Break is a good* movie and they can't do good movies blah blah blah. They've done, mileage varying, three really good movies off the top of my head with Casablanca, Jaws and Charade featuring Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant plus probably others I can't remember and they were all funny.

*Although I think perhaps 'good' is confused with 'fun' which I'd agree with the latter.

Mike already did Point Break as a solo riff in the early days of Rifftrax, so I guess they jumped the shark all the way back in October 2006.

Yeah, and he revisited Road House with Kevin and Bill after a solo riff and it was very funny so I have no reason to think Point Break won't be the same.

In something I learned today, the Director of Photography for Touch of Satan also did Blade Runner. That's on the level of the same guy doing Cool as Ice, becoming Spielberg's go-to guy going on to do and Schindler's List, etc.
